After an active day at the park, an adventure through the woods, or frolicking at the beach, a good long sudsy soak is both a necessary and gratifying undertaking for a dog and his boy.

I had never been a dog person until my friend got one. Once I started dog sitting, I quickly became attached to the little mutt and came to understand the bond between dogs and their people. This is my second piece celebrating that connection.

I'm a lover of dogs, mans best friend, well if you care for them anyone's best friend. This is just beautiful.

Hi there! ..."I had never been a dog person"... Same happened to me :-) Now I am another dog lover! The painting is amazing! Will it be in the calender of 2013? Greets from Frankfurt/Germany Heiko

I LOVE (most) dogs! And (most) dogs seem to love me. I am particularly fond of BIG dogs (Collies are very close to my heart). This work is fascinating and, as usual, you've left no detail untouched Michael. The love between this pup and his human is apparent. However, I'm not sure I'd ever allow my dog in the tub with me.

The dog looks to be in complete bliss. Sharing that bath, who wouldn't?

For me it's easy to understand the bond between dog and man. Dogs don't judge, and all they ever need to be happy is to simply be with you.

Lance, when it comes to bathing a dog, it's sometimes easier and less messy just to get in with him/her. :-)

Michael, I absolutely love this piece.! ! ! Fabulous ! !! What more could you want than a handsome man with hairy legs and a cute puppy bathing together. Lucky puppy ! ! ! The old-fashioned bathtub is an excellent touch. This may be my third Michael Breyette original to hang in my house.

Dogs are like angels that walk among us. They are there for you in good times and bad. They provide unconditional love. I truly do hope to someday be the man my dog thinks I am. He loves his bath time, though it is much easier in the walk in shower.

What a great piece. It really caught my eye when I saw it. I have a little Jack Russell terrior so naturally the dog in the tub was a big plus to me even though he would never take a bath with me.

Coincidence? Do do do do do do do do……. I sent friend request to Philip Gladstone on facebook because I love his work but never seem to be in time to purchase any of his new pieces.. . I particularly like the paintings he does of men bathing in an old fashioned bathtubs (often with man’s best friend). He accepted my request and I received the traditional email letting me know. The very next email I received was from the one and only Michael Breyette letting all his fans know his latest masterpiece was complete… a man bathing in an old fashioned tub with his dog! Wonder what the Vegas odds makers would give this coincidence?? love this piece!!!!!
