With the sun sparkling off rivulets of seawater streaming down their toned bronzed physiques, the men of Australia's surf lifesaving clubs are practically synonymous with Aussie manhood itself.
Ever wonder why they roll their swimsuits up around their butt cheeks? It's to glide smoothly on the plastic seats of the surf boats. Surf boats, unlike other competitive rowing boats, do not have seats that move with the rower. Apparently the smooth plastic, the toned bums, and a bit of seawater for lubrication gives them the glide they need. It works for them, and it works for me! |
