For lovers of the great outdoors nothing is better than getting together with your best bud and pitching a tent under the stars. Sure, trekking through the woods, drinking from a stream, sharing stories around a campfire are all part of the appeal. But this time, as you crawl into your tent and slip into your sleeping bags, you really hope to be woken by a bump in the night.

I honestly was just planning a spooky Halloween themed piece, but once I got working on it, I couldn't help but see it as a metaphor for the anti-marriage equality crowd... mindless zombies hellbent on destroying an innocent couple just minding their own gay business.

I'm always 'into' whatever I am working on. But my holiday pieces (Hallowe'en or Christmas) are a nice break, a chance to switch it up. It's a whole other state of mind.

Beautiful as always Michael. I wish I had tent memories like that (but of course the monsters only scare so we could cuddle!) Thanks for sharing your wonderful work!
