As dusk falls upon the Italian piazza, a couple shares a dance by the cascading fountain. While the music serenades, they move as one, hand-in-hand, lost in the moment.

I really try to put myself into my works and hope that the moment, the sounds, the smells, the feeling comes alive for the viewer as well. As I filled in the background, I could almost feel myself being transported to an Italian piazza at dusk.

Michael, as always your Art brings out so many feelings in my life. There is nothing like being with the one you love, dressed to the nines...outdoors...dancing near a fountain...feeling or remembering your youth & that one true love you're with at that moment..beauteous music playing softly under the moon-lit night sky. This is truly your most romantic work ever. Accolades to you Michael...you are truly blessed.

Looking at these two men dancing without any care in the world it strikes me as such a contrast to the world we live in...I look forward to the day we can all share this experience instead of standing in line outside of a Chick-Fil-A to promote hatred and intolerance!

Michael , I love all of your work ; it is outstanding!La Dolce Vita is a scene I wish I would be able to see anywhere, anyplace, anytime between two people who are in love. "Dancing to the heartbeat as one" is how I see this beautiful depiction of male love at its best. Kisses my friend from Greece!

"Hearing the water droplettes sing their timeless wisdom, Twilight bleeding it's last golden rays across an indigo sky. His beard corse yet soft against my cheek we move hand in hand, torso to torso, step-step-slide, step-step-slide. We needed no kiss, for nothing could be sweeter than this. For that one moment, that one dance, I understood our place in the world." OK, yes I made a (bad) poem about it. The image moves me.

Better version of peom. I know, double dipping, but still, the artwork derves better. ?"Hearing the water droplettes sing their timeless wisdom, Twilight bleeds it's last golden rays across an indigo sky. For some reason this one makes me feel a bit sad. Like its time gone by or they are having a last dance. Almost as if they are stealing this brief moment. It really is beautiful...almost bittersweet.

This is such an emotionally charged sight, that it makes tears well in my eyes. The thought of being able to freely dance in a Piazza next to a fountain, in a beautiful city is just priceless.

This came to mind when I looked at this. Having finished dinner out, walking home hand in hand the come to the plaza where music is coming out an open window. They just flow with the music and start to dance - just being in the moment.

When I looked at this piece today the thing that first came to my mind was fountain of youth and young love. May we all find young love no matter what age we are. I love your work.

La Dolce Vita (the sweet life) makes me sad for all the dolce vita that I've missed. I only came out when I was 38 and a couple of years later, quite unexpectedly found the man who is the love of my life.... While happier now than I ever expected to be... the painting evokes for me both, the sorrow I feel for the years I missed, due to fear, when I could have been dancing with my amazing Frenchman, and the bittersweet feeling every time we are in public and I want to touch him or hold his hand but can't. And when that happens, in my heart we are dancing 'La Dolce Vita' and the fact that I can't 'actually' hold his hand at that moment matters no more.

This work has it all -- two handsome lovers, a beautiful setting (perhaps the French Riviera?), a romantic night they will both remember all their lives. O to be one of them!
