melt (verb) 1. to become liquified usually by the application of heat. 2. to become softened in feeling, to give in to feelings of compassion or desire.

With most of my paintings I have a clear idea of the story I'm wanting to visually convey. But this one started out vague and unfocused, with several directions that it could go. As I kept working it was the act of taking away elements that finally brought the piece together, allowing it to express several themes in my head with a simple image.

Let me start of by saying all your paintings are excellent. My most favorites are "Closer To God" and "La Dolce Vita" as well as the military paintings. This painting is extremely exceptional and transcends a host of the paintings you have done. Sometimes it dose not take a lot to awaken the emotions of the heart or the beauty within the eyes of the beholder. When I look at this painting I do not see the man, but a flood of emotions. From inner peace and self exception from the reflection to tranquility & calmness from the background. The gentle ripples in the water represent special times shared with someone dear to to your heart. All of these heart felt emotions comes together where the water & sky meet. The expression on his face that says to me, "Love me from my heart out." The arousal and sexual imagination of what he is hiding behind his hands and what does he look like standing up. Thank you truly for a rollercoaster of beautiful emotions. Onit :-)

First "Ascension" and now "Melt". The hot men and cool water theme continues. Have you ever thought of selling your prints, buy one get another half off? There is so much to choose from a fan could go broke!

Luvur Stuff, I am glad you enjoy my creations! Though as an artist I am caught between trying to earn a living, assigning value to my work and wanting everyone to be able to afford and purchase the art they love. So one thing I do is offer my work in various size prints. I also give a 10% discount to return buyers. After an initial order of $50 or more, the customer gets 10% off future print orders. The discount remains as long as the customer purchases anything from my website within 6 months.
