Even though there is plenty of fun to be had in cold weather, having to keep the windows shut and bundle up every time you step outside becomes wearing after a time. The feel of the warm sun on ALL of your skin becomes and want and eventually a need for many.

Being mostly an introvert, I am fairly resilient to cabin fever. Hunkering down, staying indoors is something I really enjoy. On a related note, our plan to getaway this past January to someplace warm, like Puerto Rico, got switched because of the uptick in COVID. To not risk getting it, and being prevented from flying we got away to someplace we could drive to. We found this great place on an island in Maine, it’s glass atrium with a fireplace serves as the backdrop to the painting.
