burn (verb) 1. to damage or destroy by exposure to prolonged and or excessive heat. 2. to become filled with passion or desire.
Over the years, I’ve created several collections, but I also enjoy making dedicated "companion" pieces. Burn is a climate change companion to Melt, a painting I finished many years ago. I’ve carried the concept for this piece in my head for over a decade, starting versions of it several times, but I never quite brought it to fruition until now.
