In Loving Memory of Michael Breyette

With profound heartbreak, we share that Michael passed away peacefully last night after a long and courageous journey with cancer. Our world feels quieter today. He will be missed more than words can express by those of us who loved him daily, and by the many of you who felt connected to him through his art.

Michael was so much more than an artist. He was gentle, thoughtful, funny, stubborn in the best ways, and endlessly compassionate. He had a gift not only for creating beauty, but for seeing it in others. Through his work, he shared tenderness, pride, longing, joy, and the full spectrum of what it means to be human.

His art gave many a sense of belonging, reflection, and hope. To everyone who supported him over the years: thank you. Your kindness, loyalty, and admiration meant the world to him. Knowing his work mattered to so many was one of the greatest joys of his life.

As we grieve and adjust to life without him, we are temporarily pausing new orders on the website. If you have already placed an order, it will still be fulfilled, but we ask for patience and understanding as we take time to mourn and make arrangements.

In the coming weeks, we’ll share more about how his art, memory, and legacy will continue. For now, we are holding close the extraordinary life he lived, the love he gave freely, and the light he brought into this world.
