In all his glory, taking it easy by the pool on a perfect summer day, this tatted, scruffy, salt-and-pepper man is basking in the sun and the adoration of his young admirers. He is the ultimate Daddy Cool.
I was lucky enough to snap a photo of my friend, PJ Terranova, this past August and thrilled that he was on board when I mentioned turning it into a pastel painting. Working in pastel, the fun lay in capturing his confident posture, arms relaxed behind his head, showing off his distinctive tattoos, chiseled abs, and gold aviator sunglasses.
