We spend about a third of our lives in bed, so it makes sense that it would be where we enjoy some of our most intimate and euphoric moments. And whether it’s just a treat for ourselves or because we’ve invited someone to come join us between the sheets, it’s nice to start those moments with the clean, crisp indulgence of Fresh Linens.

As time-consuming as it was to render the individual details of the brick wall, the rugged texture made the perfect compliment to the soft pillows and sheets. It mirrors the beautiful duality of the male form itself, at once strong and hard, while also silky and soft. Working in pastel, I focused on capturing the dynamic, billowing motion of the fabric as it catches the room's ambient light, juxtaposing the flowing cloth against the rigid geometry of the background.
