A beautiful body perishes, but a work of art dies not. — Leonardo da Vinci
Meet Kenneth, a captivating new presence in my Mini Figurative series. He stands completely naked with his arms tightly crossed over his chest, a pose that feels simultaneously protective and intensely alluring. There is an incredible boy-next-door charm to his soft, wavy hair and gentle expression, yet it creates a beautiful tension with his powerful, muscular frame. Stripped of all distractions, Kenneth's quiet, unassuming gaze pulls you in, offering a moment of intimate connection that feels entirely genuine.
My artistic challenge was navigating the complex geometry of his folded arms. Posing a subject this way creates overlapping layers of muscle, requiring careful placement of charcoal highlights to give his biceps and forearms real depth without losing the rhythm of his torso. The light rakes across his chest and defines his obliques, leading the eye naturally down his midsection to a full frontal view where the clean, elegant lines of his naked form are completely revealed and celebrated.
