The everyday garments we wear often carry the heaviest cultural expectations, making the act of dressing or undressing a subtle statement of identity. For the final piece in my Natural Beauties series, I wanted to explore that delicate boundary through a simple, intimate ritual. Looking down with a quiet, focused concentration, Kirk watches his own hands as he pulls a pair of sheer nylons over his foot. Navigating the dramatic, forced perspective of his large foot thrust right into the foreground while capturing the thin, stretched texture of hosiery against skin was an incredible technical challenge that perfectly seals the theme of the series.
