Up with the sun, mending fences all day, and keeping the cattle in line, it certainly takes a tough guy to be a ranch hand. But Luke also has a gentle side to him if you know where to look.
Originally this piece was going to be used as marketing artwork for Herban Cowboy, a men's body care products company, but they ultimately decided they wanted something a bit closer to my original Cowboy drawing instead, so I created a different illustration for their campaign. I still loved how this specific rendering turned out, especially the interplay of shadows across the rustic wood and his physique, so I am incredibly glad he found a permanent home in my own collection.
