The Order are always on the lookout for fresh blood, hunting for the perfect guy to become The Initiate in their little 'fun and games.' It turns out, one of their favorite spots to scout for new members is the local gym showers, where it's easy to spot the right fit.
My main goal for this piece was capturing a sense of dark, theatrical mystery. I spent some time building up the background with the rough, stone archways of a hidden chamber to establish that secret society vibe. From there, it was all about managing a larger group of figures and their expressions. I focused on the lighting, casting a soft, dramatic glow from below that catches the muscular definition of the men and the deep folds of their hooded robes, while letting the edges of the room fade into the shadows to keep the mood intense and secretive.
