What is it about those beautiful places that illicit romantic behavior, whether it’s between a long-time couple or a first encounter between strangers? Do these surroundings bring joy and release those chemicals like dopamine and serotonin that activate our pleasure centers?
I paint a lot of landscapes for someone who doesn’t really describe himself as a landscape painter. If I were to ever veer away from figures, I know I would end up doing a lot of paintings that featured the sea.
