Three New Pencil Studies and Other Updates

Thank you all so much for the incredible response to our last update. It brings me a lot of comfort to know how much you appreciate the behind-the-scenes look at Michael’s creative process, and how eager you are to help us keep his legacy alive.

Here is what is happening next at the studio.

Three New Pencil Studies Now Available

As promised, we are continuing to slowly release the preliminary pencil studies that served as the true genesis of Michael's ideas. These sketches are the skeletons that lie beneath the "colorful dust," and today we are thrilled to announce the release of three more original works:

  • Lust in Translation

  • Norwegian Wood

  • The Mechanic

These three studies offer another intimate glimpse into Michael's vision before he ever moved to the easel. Just like our initial release, we are keeping these at the same affordable price point Michael originally set, ensuring his fans have the opportunity to own a piece of his authentic history.

Upcoming Limited Edition Estate Prints

In that same spirit of sharing Michael's legacy, we are getting very close to releasing new, limited edition Estate prints of some of his completed works.

Just as we are doing with the original pencil studies, we are being incredibly deliberate and respectful about this entire process. We will be taking our time to carefully choose which pieces to release and how often they become available. Our main goal is to honor Michael's vision and his steadfast philosophy: art needs to be out in the world and on your walls, not hidden away in a studio. We will have more details to share on this very soon.

A Quick Housekeeping Note

This coming Friday or Saturday, we will be rolling up our sleeves to update the hosting software for Michael's website. If you visit the site this weekend and notice that things look a little off or out of place, please bear with us! We will be making some behind-the-scenes adjustments to make sure the site is fully compatible with the new software, and everything should be back to normal shortly.

A Celebration of Life: June 27th

Finally, a quick reminder that Michael’s Celebration of Life is coming up fast on June 27th. As I continue looking through his old interviews and quotes in preparation for the party, I feel him sitting right next to me. I am so looking forward to gathering together to share stories and celebrate the humble, astonishingly talented, and wonderful smart-ass we all miss so much.
