With Alec, I wanted to capture a quiet, un-staged moment of self-appreciation. The pose has a great natural curve to it, which was a lot of fun to map out. Working on a dark background really let me play with the warmth of the skin tones and the subtle textures of the hair, keeping the focus entirely on the soft, natural light falling across the figure.
