Many view a bath as a waste of time when compared to a shower, but sharing a soak forces you into a distraction-free space of vulnerability and intimacy.
In this scene, two muscular men are beautifully Bathed in Love, settling into a vintage tub together to share a passionate kiss amid warm soap suds. Historically, bathing has been a ritualistic, social activity, and I wanted to capture that deep sense of wellbeing. Working in pastel, my focus was rendering the powerful muscles of his back as he shifts forward toward his partner, using soft window light to emphasize the glistening skin and the delicate texture of bubbles clinging to them both.
