Waking up early to prepare your boyfriend's favorite morning meal is a wonderful way to say "I love you," just so long as you remember to save plenty of room for dessert.
I absolutely love drawing romantic settings, and what could possibly be more romantic than your partner serving you Breakfast in Bed? While the entire piece was incredibly fun to create, it is always the small things that make me happiest as an artist. I particularly enjoyed rendering the clarity of the juice glass, the texture of the muffin, and the gentle steam rising from the hot coffee.
This piece was featured as a full page "blueprint" in issue number 55 of Blue Magazine in February 2005.
