Cotton is the first piece in my Men in Briefs series, though it came to life long before I actually envisioned a full series. I was completely captivated by the model's striking expression and features. This marked a turning point in my work since it was the first piece where I rendered a complete face, rather than obscuring it with sunglasses or leaving the figure headless. It was also with this artwork that viewers first began to notice and comment on the photorealistic quality of my style.
