Being one of my first pastels, I knew the suds were going to be a challenge, but they ended up being a lot of fun to figure out. I loved discovering their complexity by capturing the highlights, shadows, shapes, and the balance between opaqueness and translucency against the skin. Working through those textures really opened up a new direction for me, and it has made drawing wet figures feel like a treat.
