Halloween is usually all about creepy-crawlies, frights, and things that go bump in the night, but who says monsters can't have a little bit of rowdy, lighthearted fun?
I’ve always loved the theatricality of Halloween, and Ghouls Gone Wild was an absolute blast to create because it let me combine a fun, pop-culture-inspired concept with classic seasonal imagery. Working in pastel, the main technical goal was balancing the cool, misty purples and deep shadows of the background with the intense, warm orange glow radiating from the pumpkins. Capturing how that vibrant firelight flickers across the defined muscles and expressive faces of the men allowed me to create a scene that feels high-energy, theatrical, and full of life.
