Meet Henry, a striking addition to my Mini Figurative series. He has this soulful, slightly bashful look as he nibbles on his finger, but do not let that shy demeanor fool you.
Working against a warm ochre backdrop, I focused on the way the overhead light glides down his entire body, highlighting his shoulders, chest, and abs all the way down. Posing his arm across his stomach creates an interesting frame for his torso, letting the shadows define his build while the full frontal view invites you to appreciate all of his assets.
