When he first came out to Grampy and Nana, he was so relieved by their understanding and support. But, now he thinks they are maybe taking it a bit too far!

I’ve been called the Norman Rockwell of gay art several times by different people… I don’t know where they get that! LOL

My Christmas piece this year was incredibly fun to create because it leans entirely into storytelling and facial expressions. The challenge was balancing that classic, wholesome holiday aesthetic with a highly unexpected twist. I focused heavily on the character dynamics; the young man’s hilarious, wide-eyed mix of embarrassment and amusement as he stretches out the leather harness, contrasted with the pure, oblivious joy on his grandparents' faces. Layering the cozy interior textures, the snowy window backdrop, and the bright festive reds and greens really helped cement that traditional, heartwarming family vibe right alongside the punchline.
