The classic requirements for How to Build a Snowman include three round snow globes stacked from largest to smallest, sticks for arms, a hat, eyes, a mouth, and of course, a carrot. However, the exact placement of that carrot can sometimes be open to interpretation.
Capturing the playful dynamic of this piece meant focusing heavily on the crisp, bright atmosphere of a perfect Winter afternoon. I used stark, brilliant whites and cool blues to make the Snow pop, creating a vibrant backdrop that highlights the rich textures of the men's winter gear—from the snug fit of the denim Jeans to the thick folds of their jackets. The entire composition revolves around that single, mischievous focal point, relying on their contrasting expressions of shock and playful anticipation to tell a fun, spontaneous story that brings the scene to life.
