Meet Masato, a striking and incredibly poised addition to my mini Black and White series. Standing completely naked with his hands resting easily behind his head, he projects a quiet, magnetic confidence. It is a classic, open posture that exudes a relaxed energy while simultaneously commanding the room.
From an artistic standpoint, illustrating this piece with his arms raised was all about capturing the natural elongation of his torso. Lifting the arms completely shifts the tension across the chest and shoulders, allowing me to use crisp highlights to emphasize the stretch of his lats and the tight definition of his core. The light drops smoothly down his center, naturally guiding the eye along the strong lines of his hips and powerful thighs, ultimately framing a fully revealed, unapologetic presentation of his naked form.
