I started working on Merry Little Christmas in early November 2003, hoping to have it wrapped up in time for the holidays. However, as the days ticked by, I found myself completely lacking any real holiday cheer. That all changed the day after Thanksgiving when I finally quit my day job. Lo and behold, the creative spark was reignited and we were right back in business. The piece captures that exact feeling of sudden freedom and making the absolute best of a cozy situation, even when you are snowed in alone for your first big holiday in the city.
