For this piece, I wanted to capture that classic, sun-drenched Palm Springs vibe. The focus was on blending the clean, geometric lines of mid-century modern architecture with a bright, retro color palette. I spent time on the background to make sure the stark white lines of the house, the pop of the orange sofa through the glass, and the smooth turquoise water of the pool felt balanced and era-appropriate. For the man poolside, I used a strong, direct overhead light to highlight the warm skin tones and athletic definition, mirroring the sharp angles of the house while letting the folds of the bright yellow towel add a dynamic splash of color against the desert sky.
