If you look at sculptures from hundreds of years ago, everyone’s naked. It’s not a bad thing. — Gigi Hadid

Meet Panas, the newest addition to my Mini Figurative series. Standing completely naked with a downward gaze and his hand resting against his forehead, he projects an introspective, quiet energy. It is a moment of pause, capturing a feeling of reflection rather than direct engagement.

Working on his pose, my focus was figuring out how a bowed head and raised arm shift the physical tension across the torso. Bringing the hand up naturally stretches the lats and alters his shoulder structure. I relied on softer shading along his core to contrast with the textured details of his beard and chest hair. The directional lighting casts subtle shadows that map his form, drawing the eye down his (ahem) relaxed posture.
