...hungry... usually fed by now... it’s one of those "late-start" days... I like those... I won’t be home alone all day! Ooooh, I heard the bed move... I hear talking... Daddies are up! Daddies are up! Damn my short legs... I want up there... I want my scritches... it's Play Time! Woof!
There is nothing better than those rare days off from work. Something as simple as lying in bed as long as you want can be completely blissful, and if you get to share that morning with loved ones, two-legged or four, it is even better. Working in pastel, I had a lot of fun leaning into a lighter, brighter palette for this piece. I wanted the room to feel flooded with morning sunshine, contrasting the soft white sheets, turquoise curtains, and the earnest gaze of the couple's dog with the intense, explicit connection happening right above him on the mattress.
