His back tightens and contracts as his muscles swell, his broad V-shape furrowing down toward his skimpy shorts. Meant to conceal, the veil of modesty instead emphasizes. The thin, silky fabric clings, stretches, drapes, and conforms, creating folds and lines like little arrows focusing your attention entirely on his form.

Consider this the yin to the yang. When I painted Sweat. Pant., my broad concept was an intense guy working out. I knew I wanted him in draped sweatpants or clingy, thin shorts that accentuated all his curves and bulges, but I was torn between showing his front or his rear assets. I chose frontal for that first piece and moved on. But I think in the back of my mind, I was still hankering to showcase a back view, and I finally indulged with Sexy. Back. I really like these two as a pair. Working in pastel, I focused on the deep definition of his latissimus and shoulder muscles mid-pull-up, highlighting the skin with cool blue gym light reflections and adding a fun Superman Tattoo on his right shoulder blade.
