He attended to his champion's every need, ensuring he was fully prepared to give a thrilling performance. Not only did the weaponry have to be flawless, but the look also needed to be just right to win over the arena. After all, the crowd was not here to see a simple fight, they were here for the grand Spectaculum.
Working on this piece brought back immense nostalgia for my early years when I painted a lot of fantasy works. I modeled this style after classic paperback covers by legendary artists like Boris Vallejo and Frank Frazetta.
