Few things capture the essence of freedom quite like escaping to the water during the dog days of July. Summers at the Lake celebrates those timeless, sun-drenched afternoons spent far away from the noise of the world.
Water is one of my favorite elements to explore, providing an organic backdrop for the male form. Working in pastel, my primary focus was capturing the midday sun reflecting off the water's surface, creating soft, natural highlights across the rich skin tones of both figures. I used a warm, earthy palette of greens, soft browns, and sun-bleached blues to establish a relaxed, nostalgic atmosphere that keeps the focus entirely on the raw vulnerability and easy companionship of the moment.
