On the Drawing Board: Back to Work

It's been awhile since my last post, but I had surgery that was supposed to be fairly minor, then ended up being a bit more complicated.  Anyway I am home and mending.  I've managed to do a little work on the piece I started before my operation.  I'm having to take it easy, and will try to finish as many new works as I can before my show in July at the Lyman-Eyer Gallery in Provincetown. But I am behind schedule....speaking of behinds, how do you like what I've got done so far?

"Walls That Divide" Book Cover

I just received a copy of Walls That Divide by Michael Murphy, from DreamSpinner Press.  It's the latest book they've put out featuring my work (this time La Dolce Vita) on the cover. Cool :-)

Hopefully this summer, perhaps on vacation, I'll get a chance to start reading some of these novels, they all look so intriguing. 

New Release - Suburbia

The quick growth of hook up apps has made it a lot easier for single gay guys to meet. But it's also made it a lot easier for 'straight' married guys to act on their carnal homosexual desires too. And ask any gay guy whose uses one of these apps, guys on the "down low" are hardly a rare exception. 

My new work, Suburbia, is available for immediate purchase through the Lyman-Eyer Gallery, but must remain with the gallery through the end of my upcoming show this summer.

Stroke Exhibit Kicks Off in NYC

An exhibit featuring works by artists published in the gay magazines that many of us grew up with opened this past Friday at Leslie-Lohmann Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art. As one of the artists included I attended the preview on Thursday. It's a wonderful collection of our gay history so please check it out if you can. The exhibit, curated by one of my favorite artists Robert W. Richards, runs until May 25th.

"Stroke" Exhibit This Month in NYC

The upcoming exhibit, Stroke: From Under the Mattress to the Museum Wall, at the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art in NYC, of which I am honored to be part, opens March 27th with a preview, and then a public reception on March 28th and runs through May 25th, 2014.

I don't know if it's because as I get older I perhaps am getting wiser, but I have this growing affinity for nature and being more in sync with what is natural, simple and pure. A back to basics mentality.

Stroke mentioned by Huffington Post and the Advocate

The upcoming exhibit at the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art in NYC, of which I am honored to be part of, recently got a shout out from the Huffington Post and the Advocate.
