“Even cowboys need a morning routine. And for this cowboy, it’s time to wash up in the stream before starting the day’s chores.”
Having just returned from a trip to Nevada, I started going through the pictures I had taken while there, looking for a nice backdrop for a new work. Once I had the setting picked out, it was easy to decide on a new cowboy themed piece.
The water presented a fun challenge with both the shadow and the reflection of the subject. And while more hairy than most of the men I draw, I really like how he looks, especially that stubbled face.
