My artwork has always been greatly influenced by my environment. So I was not surprised that as soon as the weather turned cool that I started thinking of tropical settings for my next work. My intial concept was of a scuba diver emerging from the sea. But I eventually simplified things by stripping away all but the goggles and orienting the work horizontally to showcase the tranquil seascape.
