“What is beauty? Is it certain forms and shapes arranged in a way that is geometrically pleasing to the eye? Is it a combination of colors and patterns, a perfection of design? Or rather than a certain visual configuration maybe it is our own emotional response, it is how it makes us feel inside that defines what we consider beautiful, whether it be a bloom or a bottom. ”
This is one of those instances where the title and concept really came about as one. I had just been browsing through some photos of flowers and the light bulb went on. Keeping with a simple composition comparing the two forms of lily white beauty, I chose to do this in half the size of most of my originals.
