“Taking a trip abroad can be an amazing journey, and our tech gadgets have made things easier by providing us directions, advice on where to eat, and even translations for the local language. But it might make for a more memorable experience if when you have a question of travel, you just ask a local. You may not understand his native tongue, but there are other ways to communicate that don’t involve words. ”
I've been lucky enough to do some traveling the past few years. What I've discovered is that it's these type of old narrow streets that really appeal to me. The grandiose cathedrals and monuments are certainly impressive, but seeing these old houses and neighborhoods where people have lived for centuries and continue to live today really connects the present with the past in a comforting way.
