Driving along the rugged, rocky cliffs of scenic Highway 1 with the top down, he just had to pull over, strip back the layers, and step out to appreciate the stunning view.
It used to be that I would seldom do backgrounds for my artwork, leaving the setting entirely up to the imagination of the viewer. But now that I have more time to devote to my art, I really enjoy exploring different venues for the men I draw. Far from taking focus away from the subject, I find that a scenic background actually enhances and defines them so much more. In Big Sur, that beautiful backdrop sets the perfect stage for a coastal adventure.
