Like no other holiday on the calendar, Halloween seems to be completely custom tailored for our community because there really is no other night of the year where you can freely step out in drag, walk right up to a hot guy, and ask him trick or treat.
Celebrating holidays through my art has always been a wonderful change of pace. While I usually do something special for Christmas each year, Monsters Ball was my very first time working on a piece dedicated to Halloween, and it was a total blast to step away from traditional palettes to mix up devil red and undead gray skin tones alongside all the spooky, festive party details in the background.
