There is an old saying that clothes make the man. While I usually favor my figures with few clothes on, there is plenty of appeal in a guy fully dressed in well-fitted clothing. Working in pastel, the creative focus of Power Bottoms was capturing the specific texture and drape of office wear. I loved the technical challenge of rendering how smooth dress shirts bunch and how light catches the sheen of formal trousers, using soft pinks, blues, and grays to emphasize the firm contours beneath.
