Sharing a shower can, of course, be a great time and water saver. However, it’s all too easy to get caught up in being naked together, clean and thoroughly titillated by the warm, pulsating showerhead.
This is one of those specific concepts I’d been sitting on for quite a while. I guess the unique over-the-head positioning, the steep forced perspective, and the streaming water initially seemed like a massive technical challenge, though it happily turned out not to be too bad once I got into it.
Working in pastel, I focused on the complex interplay of light and texture, rendering the dark grey bathroom tiles, the metallic gleam of the foreground fixture, and the way cascading water streams over a chiseled, hairy chest and silver-bearded face caught in a moment of pure bliss.
