Suburbia (2014)
23×18½ Pastel on Pastel Paper
Original is Sold

The wife and kids are out. Dad’s home alone and got an itch he needs scratched. Gone are the days of driving into the city to cruise bars; a few swipes on a tablet and a hookup is already walking through the door for some hot play in Suburbia.

Working in pastel, my goal was to capture that tense, thrilling atmosphere of a secret suburban encounter. I focused on the contrast between the dimly lit, intimate interior, complete with a glass of wine, car keys, and a tablet on the table, and the view of the quiet, unsuspecting neighborhood visible just outside the window.
