The cold crisp air, a little freshly fallen Snow, the woodsy scent of pine & fir, and the chance to play lumberjack. What’s not to love about going out and harvesting your own Christmas tree? Then, top it off with an evening of mulled wine and decorating!
I’ve been sitting on this idea for the better part of the year, so I am incredibly glad I finally got to execute it. Working in pastel, I aimed to capture the crisp, refreshing atmosphere of a Winter forest. I focused heavily on the rich textures of the deep green pine needles and the dusting of freshly fallen snow on the trees behind him.
